Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.

Nagsimula po tayo na ang tanging hangad natin ay magkaroon ng kapayapaan sa ating lugar. Ngayon ay nais natin itong magpatuloy upang mas maayos at mas mabigyan ng prayoridad ang pagbibigay natin ng serbisyo sa taumbayan.

Ang Opisina ni MP Rasol Mitmug Jr. ay naniniwalang sa panahong ito ay mas kinakaikailangan nating magkaisa upang mabigyan ng solusyon at mapunan ang mga suliranin ng rehiyon at ng buong bansa. Walang pagkakaisa kung walang kapayapaan.

Bawat isa sa atin ay may responsibilidad na panatilihin ang kapayapaang ating tinatamasa. Kailangan ito ng suporta mula sa iba’t ibang sektor para masustena. Malayo-layo na rin tayo ngunit malayo pa rin ang ating tatahakin sa pagpapaunlad ng ating bayan.

Dahil dito uunahin natin ang pagsustena ng kapayapaan, uunahin natin ang taumbayan, ang ating mga constituents sa BARMM, uunahin natin ang pagseserbisyo at pagiging tapat sa ating sinumpaang tungkulin.

The Office of MP Rasol Y. Mitmug, Jr. joins the entire region in celebrating its 5th foundation day, marking a significant milestone in our shared journey towards fostering mutual understanding, peaceful co-existence, and a shared future in the Bangsamoro region.

This year’s theme, “A Journey Towards Mutual Understanding, Peaceful Co-existence, and a Shared Future in the Bangsamoro,” reflects our unwavering commitment to building bridges of understanding and unity among the diverse communities of the region. As we reflect on the progress made over the past five years, we recognize the importance of embracing our shared heritage and cultural diversity. The foundation of lasting peace lies in our collective ability to respect and appreciate our differences, working together towards a harmonious and inclusive future for all.

Through various initiatives and collaborative efforts, we have witnessed the transformative power of dialogue, cooperation, and compassion in bridging gaps and promoting harmony. This celebration serves as a poignant moment to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of the Bangsamoro people and the significant strides we have taken towards a more unified and prosperous community.

MP Mitmug, along with his office, remains dedicated to realizing an innovative and forward-looking Bangsamoro Government. Acknowledging and recognizing that we are One Bangsamoro is crucial to our goal of sustaining peace in the region. So in line with that goal and as part of our anniversary celebration, the Office donated BARMM flags to the day care center in South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur. The students and/or the children in that area would have a reminder that they are members and part of one Bangsamoro.

As we commemorate this Foundation Day, our renewed commitment to justice, equality, and understanding inspires us to work hand in hand, fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and empowered. Together, let us embark on the next phase of our journey with a revitalized sense of purpose, resilience, and optimism, creating a lasting legacy of peace and prosperity for generations to come. Obviously, there is still much to be done. Our work and service to the people will never cease.

But for now let’s commemorate this special day.

The Office of MP Rasol Y. Mitmug, Jr. joined and assisted in the tree planting activities and distribution of bags in the Municipalities of Taraka and Lumba-bayabao on November 22-23, 2023.

This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President, Hon. Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office of Lanao del Sur, 5th Infantry (Duty Bound) Battalion, LGUs Taraka and Lumba-bayabao, teachers, students, and others.

The tree planting activities involved the cultivation of fruits such as jackfruit, mangosteen, and durian in both areas, in line with the priority programs of the office of VP Inday Sara Duterte.

The program was graced by the Head of the BARMM satellite office of VP Sara Duterte Ms. Zuhaira M. Abas, along with the staff. PENRO Asmarie Labao, CENRO Asnawi Dataman, Mayor Amenodin U. Sumagayan of Taraka and Mayor Mahar P. Dagalangit of Lumba-bayabao, Lanao del Sur, also participated.

The selected beneficiaries include Taraka Elementary School, General Mekotor Lamping Elementary School, and three (3) barangays of Lumba-bayabao, Lanao del Sur.

Ginanap ang kauna-unahang Information and Media Summit noong Oktubre 18-20, 2023 sa SMX Convention Center, Davao City.

Dinaluhan ito ng mga sector sa media at information officers ng mga ministeryo, opisina at LGUs sa BARMM. Dumalo rin ang mga partners mula sa national agencies tulad ng Presidential TaskForce on Media Security at Presidential Communications Office. Nagbigay rin ng mensahe ang internatiol groups mula sa The Asia Foundation, SUBATRA at United States Institute of Peace.

Ang summit na ito ay layuning mapagbuklod ang ating mga information officers at kasamahan sa media para mapagusapan ang importansyang ginagampanan ng mga ito sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at pagsulong ng ekonomiya ng BARMM.

Naimbitahan din si MP Rasol Mitmug Jr. upang magbigay ng mensahe at binigyaan diin niya ang demokratisasyon ng rehiyon dahil isa itong importanteng hakbang lalo na sa isang lugar na dumaan sa kaguluhan dulot ng gyera o karahasan. Nabanggit din sa mensahe ang importansya ng citizen engagement lalo na’t ang trabaho sa parlyamento ay pagrepresenta sa isang komunidad o sector.

Nagbigay din nang makabuluhang presentasyon sina Director General Jose Torres ng Philippine Information Agency patungkol sa papel ng mga IOs sa moral governance; Rowena Paraan ng PCIJ para sa media ltireacy at fact checking at ang batikang mamahayag na si Carolyn O. ARguillas ng MindaNews para sa usaping Bangsamoro Transition sa nakaraang dalawampung buwan.

Ang naturang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ng Bangsamoro Information Office at may temang “Amplifying Voices, Nurturing the Gains of the Peace Process: The Role of Communication in the Bangsamoro Region.”

The Office of MP Rasol Mitmug Jr. is honored to join the Office of the Vice President BARMM Satellite Office in their ocular inspection in Marawi City, Taraka, and Lumba Bayabao in Lanao del Sur as part of their “PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees” program in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd).

The teams also visited Datu Macud Primary School and General Metoker Lamping Elementary School for the same purpose.
